Terms & Conditions
Last updated 22 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the SmartEasyPay mobile app and this website (together, the "Service"), operated by [Company legal name], [Registered office address, City, State, PIN] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Who can use the app
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law.
- You need an Indian mobile number that can receive SMS.
- New registrations may be open only in some states or areas for now. The app tells you if registration is not available where you are.
3. Your account and OTP login
- You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS. There is no password.
- Keep your phone and SIM secure and never share an OTP with anyone, including people who say they are from SmartEasyPay. We will never ask you for an OTP.
- You are responsible for activity on your account from your signed-in devices. You can see those devices in the app and sign any of them out. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
- The details you give at registration (name, email, address, pincode) must be true and yours.
4. Our services
The Service lets you:
- recharge mobile prepaid, DTH and FASTag accounts; and
- pay mobile postpaid, electricity, water, gas, broadband, landline, insurance premium, credit card and loan EMI bills through Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) partners, where your biller is supported.
We act as a technology platform that passes your payment to the operator or biller through our partners. Plans, prices, validity, bill amounts and due dates come from the operator or biller, and we show them as received. Please check the number, operator, plan and amount before you pay; a payment made to a wrong number or account entered by you may not be reversible.
5. Payments
- You pay through our third-party payment gateway using the methods it offers (for example UPI, debit or credit card, or net banking). Your card and bank details are entered with the gateway; we do not store them.
- The Service has no wallet and does not hold a balance of your money.
- Any convenience fee is shown before you pay. [State whether you charge convenience fees and how they are shown.]
- A payment is complete only when the operator or biller confirms it. Some payments can take time to confirm; the app shows the status and a reference number for each transaction.
6. Failed payments and refunds
- If a recharge or bill payment fails after money has been taken, we refund the full amount to the same account, card or UPI ID you paid from.
- Refunds are started within [X] working days of the failure. How long the money takes to reach you then depends on your bank or card issuer.
- A successful recharge or bill payment generally cannot be cancelled or refunded by us. For a dispute about a successful bill payment, you can raise a complaint with us or through the BBPS complaint process.
7. Reward coins
- You may earn reward coins on eligible successful payments, as a welcome bonus, or for referrals, as shown in the app at that time.
- Coins are a loyalty reward only. They are not money, a wallet balance or a prepaid instrument, carry no interest, and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash.
- If a payment that earned coins is refunded, those coins are taken back.
- Coins may expire, and how and where they can be redeemed is set out in the app. [Describe expiry period and redemption rules.]
- We may change or end the coin programme, and may remove coins earned through misuse, fraud or breach of these terms.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, including money laundering or paying with funds that are not yours;
- create accounts with false details or other people's numbers, or abuse referrals or offers;
- try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get unauthorised access to the Service; or
- use automated tools to access the Service without our written permission.
9. Operators, billers and partners
Telecom operators, DTH providers, FASTag issuers, billers, BBPS partners and the payment gateway are independent third parties. Their own terms apply to the services they provide. Operator and biller names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
10. Limitation of liability
We provide the Service with reasonable care but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for delays or failures caused by operators, billers, partners, banks or networks, or by events outside our reasonable control, and our total liability for any claim about a transaction is limited to the amount of that transaction. [Lawyer to review this clause.]
11. Suspension and closing your account
We may block or deactivate an account to protect you or the Service, for example if we suspect fraud or a breach of these terms, or where the law requires it. You can ask us to close your account by contacting support. Records we must keep by law are kept after closure, as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will show the new date at the top of this page and, for important changes, tell you in the app. Using the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [City] have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under consumer protection law.
14. Grievances and contact
For help with a transaction, contact support at [support@yourdomain.in] or [+91 XXXXX XXXXX] with your transaction number. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can write to our grievance officer:
